Improved timing with AU plugins
Numerology 1.4 offers improved note scheduling accuracy with Audio Unit
plugins. Not only does this allow for even tigher timing for AU sequencing,
but it also allows you to generate notes at higher rates when using
Gate Division. In addition, when used as an Audio Unit host,
Numerology 1.4 allows you to set the internal execution rate of Numerology's
sequencing modules, allowing you to adjust from a CPU-friendly traditional
rate of every 44 audio samples (approximately every millisecond when using
44.1Khz audio), to full audio rate execution.
This update also resolves missing note issues with plugins
from Native Instruments and improves performance with plugins that use
AudioUnit tempo-tracking callbacks.
Group Import
Now you can build new Sessions in Numerology by importing groups from
other Numerology Sessions. This makes it easy to compile a large library
of sequenced parts that you can combine to create new compositions quickly
and easily.
There's More In Store
Not counting dozens of performance enhancements, fixes, and tweaks, there are
a number of new goodies in the plans, including new clock division options for
all sequencers, new scale quantize modes, and an XY controller module.
Numerology 1.4 is currently in beta testing, and is planned release in
late May of 2004. As is customary for Numerology betas, all registered
users are allowed and encouraged to use and comment on beta releases.
