Thanks for showing your interest in Numerology. If you have any
questions or comments, send email to info@five12.com.
Be sure to browse the README file (included with all application downloads).

You can purchase Numerology for $99 US directly from the application (by choosing the
purchase option when it starts up), or from the Five12 Web Store.
Use of Numerology requires that you agree to its reasonable software license agreement,
which you can read here.
With your purchase, you get a serial number to activate all features of Numerology, as well as priority
technical support. When you enter the serial number, the eSellerate activation
library embedded in Numerology will try to connect to the internet to verify
that the serial number is valid and to activate
the number for your computer. If no connection is found, you will be given an option to activate
Numerology by using some other computer that has an internet connection.
Copies of Numerology that have not been activated by a valid serial number run in Demo mode,
which will allow you to save and load files, and send and receive MIDI Clock. However there
are some restrictions:
- You cannot save sessions that have more than 3 groups or
6 modules in any group. If you try to save such a session, you
will be warned of this limitation and offered the option to purchase.
- The transport stops after 400 beats.
Requirements:
Numerology requires Mac OS X, version 10.3.9 or later. Hardware requirements
vary based on the number of modules you plan to use and whether or not
you use Audio Units. Any system with a PPC G4 chip at 1Ghz or better
is recommended, but if you only work with MIDI than a G3 500Mhz may
be sufficient. Numerology 1.4.3 will work on an Intel Mac under
Rosetta, but is not supported for AudioUnit hosting in that configuration.
Download Tips:
As of 1.3.1, we're now using compressed Tar-format (.tgz) archives,
which Stuffit can easily handle.
This produces smaller files than Apple's Disk Images (.dmg), and
you should be able to safely download these archives on a PC if
you need to.
Important User Tips:
Please be aware that Numerology is quite a bit different from
any other sequencer -- other than some important similarities to
analog sequencers. So if you just open a blank session, drag in
some random modules and hit play, you probably won't hear anything.
Do yourself a favor and read the "Getting Started" section of the
manual. Just a few minutes of RTFM will quickly get you from "huh?" to
"Oooo -- cool....", just like these dudes did.
If you're wondering why you should spend that time, then listen to this stuff.
And if you get stuck or have a problem, don't just sit there,
drop us a note.
If you plan to use Audio Units, be sure to check out the
Numerology AU Compatibility List, which may save
you some time, both in finding some of the many cool free AUs around,
and finding out which AUs are not quite ready for Numerology yet.
Finally, since Numerology doesn't have ReWire or audio recording (yet),
you may be wondering how you can integrate it into your rig. Send
us an email with a description of your setup,
and we'll send you some customized tips.
