Gate Division / MIDI Remote Demo
Posted 5/17/2003

This new demo file shows off some of the new features in Numerology 1.1, including gate division, the slewing of pitch, and the use of MIDI remote control for live improvisation. This demo uses the Kalimba patch of SimpleSynth and sounds like something Iannis Xenakis might have written if he played M'Bira. It is called "The Joy of Division". Listen to the MP3-format recording here (2.9MB). The Numerology session file is also available.

Textures Demo
Posted 3/12/2003

Here's something unexpected from a MIDI sequencer and a very basic GeneralMIDI sound source: burbly, spaced-out, glitchy, granulated textures and near-patterns. Created with Numerology and SimpleSynth using a not terribly complex arrangement of modules. The session file is available here (download tips here), but it unfortunately has too many modules in the main group to be opened by Numerology in Demo mode. However, there are two audio recordings, one wet, (with a Chorus-Delay effect), one dry.
