Numerology looks very interesting. I hope it can clobber Ableton Live in terms of timing and stability! ;)

But my first question is a midi learn/midi control question - Is any control mappable (with midi learn)? For instance, I'd like to be able to map the program change 'NOW' button for a given preset. Is this possible?

That's an interesting comment...

Most controls within modules are mappable -- ctrl-click to bring up the contextual menu, choose "MIDI Learn", move anything that generates MIDI CC and is connected to the computer, and it should 'take'.

To control presets, double-click on a preset to bring up its detail dialog, then you can setup preset changes via MIDI Notes or ProgChange messages, or by computer keyboard keys.

I'll be writing the doc for this later in the week....

Cheers,
Jim

The 'now' button is not assignable, but that's not important. After trying some other modules I was able to map midi easily.

After thinking about it, the program change can occupy a single preset and that can be launched at any time, yes?

Pretty much -- though keep in mind that preset changes are usually quantized to the bar. You can change that with the 'quantize' menu at the bottom of the mixer channel for each Stack.

Hello all -

Can you use midi learn on the Mixer section to externally control panning, volume, etc.? I must have missed something because I can't seem to find it in the manual or figure it out, but I would guess that there has to be a way.

Thanks,
Michael...

All the mixing controls (volume, pan, mute, solo, aux sends) are also on the GroupOut modules for each stack, so you can do the assignment there.

Cheers,
Jim

Ah, that makes sense. I knew there was a simple way. Thanks, Jim!

Back to experimenting...
Michael.

Speed up the control rate under preferences. Hopefully Jim will bring back audio rate;)
