Does Numerology send remote control data back to the nocturn or other midi controllers?

I've midi-learned the mute buttons of the tracks of a drum sequencer to the buttons of my Novation Nocturn. Now I'd like the Nocturn buttons to update their on/off status when I click on a mute button in Numerology, or when I choose a preset with different mute status of the track.

For instance, I mute track 1 by pressing a button on the Nocturn. The button is unlit now. Then I choose another preset where track 1 isn't muted. the Nocturn button is still unlit, I have to press it twice to change the status. It would be better if the Nocturn automatically got the mute status from Numerology.

Midi Output of the drum sequencer is set to "Numerology Out 1", in the automap server the midi input port Numerology Out 1 is activated.

Only if you have enabled the "Reflect Learned MIDI CC's" in Numerology's Preferences, Advanced tab. It is switched off by default.

I've enabled "reflect learned midi CCs" now, but the Nocturen still doesn't update the button status.
Shouldn't the stack output have a "midi remote" menu, like the stack input? There is only "midi out" in the stack output routing (I chose midi out = Numerology out 1)

Reflected CCs are sent directly to all non-virtual MIDI output ports. A good way to verify that CCs are being reflected is to use the MIDI Monitor from snoize.com -- you'll be able to watch CCs coming from the Nocturn, then verify if they are being reflected back properly.

Cheers,
Jim

Now I understand, the "Numerology Out 1" is a virtual port, so it doesn't get the midi remote signals.
I enabled the "Automap Midi" port in the automap server now and everything works fine. :)
