Jim, thanks for the excellent tutorial on getting silent way started.
I read on the muff's forum that the Echo audiofire 4 had dc coupled outlets, so I tried it with my audiofire 2. I setup numerology and silent way, plugged an output into my z3000, clicked the calibrate button and it worked like your demo.
However, when I ran a sequence it didn't change pitches. One thing I didn't do was plug the audio into the soundcard as it's going to a different source. Is that step necessary to get it working right? I noticed that the graphic in the corner didn't change either (possibly due to the audio not routing back in).
Thanks
I'm guessing that you just need to route MIDI into the SilentWay module, check the routing panel. Or, just send me screenshots of the front and back of the stack -- jim (at) five12 (dot) com.
Thanks,
Jim

The midi out of the mononote is going into the silent way plugin from the routing panel (it was setup that way when I added the modules automatically). It's the only thing routed in or out of silent way. It's still not working though when I start the sequencer.
There is definitely a voltage sent because as soon as I unlplug the plug from my z3000 oscillator , the hz shoot up to 250 from 13.
Also, I routed the audio back in the calibration graphic changed similar to the way it did in your video.
Since this is calibrating and obviously sending voltages, I'm scratchin my head why it's not working when I start the sequencer.
edit*** I can manually change the pitch value in the silent way plugin (in the overrides section) and it's changing the pitch of the oscillator.
double edit**** I got it working....kinda. The range is super limited and it seems that changing root note or octaves doesn't change the pitch. The way I got it working was by "Interval Out" from the mononote to the "Pitch" of Silent Way.
The gate seems to be working fine.
edit*** I can manually change the pitch value in the silent way plugin (in the overrides section) and it's changing the pitch of the oscillator.
Export the stack and email it to me... (exported stacks go in <your home dir>/Library/Application Support/Five12/Numerology/Stack Library), that way I can check for anything odd about the sequence itself.
Thanks,
Jim

Okay.
I closed Numerology, restarted my macbook, turned off the modular and started from scratch with a new project.
Now it's all working! :D :D
Time to order an AudioFire 4 to link these up. I wonder if the Audiofire 8 is DC coupled. I know the 12 insn't.

Just messaged someone with an Audiofire 8 and it is not DC coupled. Time to order a 4 (and probably sell my midi to trigger module and sq8 sequencer).
Groovy, glad you got it sorted. I'm itching to get an ES-3 myself...
Cheers,
Jim
