Interesting. FYI: I've done some preliminary work both with updating Numerology for 64 bit operation (which seems to mostly be fixing a bunch of compiler warnings), and ReWire host mode, but put them aside to finish the VST and other 3.1 things. Work on those will resume after 3.1 is out.
Cheers,

am i the only person on the planet who places 64 bit at the bottom of the priority totem pole?
when every app/plug in i use is 64 bit then i'll think about it. ;)
so, that means:
audiomulch
live
renoise
tassman
about 100 plug ins
various audio editors and sample managing programs
my guess is i have quite a while for all that to happen so i feel no 64 bit desire.
and then there's Lion to think about and if apple will screw up logic etc.. that all keeps me pretty content with my set up as it is.. working.
Currently the #1 reason for me to support 64-bit mode in Numerology is so it will run properly in 64-bit Logic -- some folks are using huge sample libraries on 32GB Mac Pro's.... Also, according to Apple, 64-bit apps see on average a 10%+ performance improvement due to improved performance of the Core2Duo chips in 64 bit mode. As a Cocoa-based app, Numerology should convert pretty easily. Mostly I just need to make sure I don't treat pointers as 32-bit values, and I'll have to replace a few low-level Carbon calls here and there. Oddly enough, there are *still* some things the Carbon API's can do that are not so easily accomplished in Cocoa... *sigh*...
Cheers,
Jim

i get the need for the people using large (really large) sample libraries
i'm stoked everything is heading that way but for me it's not a pressing issue... it'll be nice to be 64 bit all the time but i can't go there until all my stuff is caught up. too much of a PITA especially w/OS updates and all that thrown in the mix.. and who knows what the next logic update will bring (or take away)

I'm with you, Ignatius. My toolset is very similar to yours. Numerology, Renoise, Audiomulch, Live and ChucK.
I've just downloaded the demo of Tassman, as it looks pretty sweet and I've never played with it. Since we have such similar tools, I figure that it may be useful, or at least fun, for me.

Tassman needs a makeover really bad. i got it when it was on sale for $99. it sounds really good for some things and is not too hard to get the head around once you get used to it a bit but there are some dub things about th eway it works that annoy me endlessly.
but, you can do some killer stuff w/it.
i'm recent to renoise and still messing around with it. such an interesting app.
