This is the first public build with the VST (mac only) and several other new features. Some of the Launchpad-related goodies (realtime recording and CV/Gate Seq support) are still in progress, thus this is definitely not the final 3.1 release. There are lots o fixes also, see the Release Notes for all the details. Many thanks those those who helped with the private testing phase of this release cycle....

Numerology 3.1 (Build 41) Primary New Features:
- Numerology VST : There is now a VST version of Numerology that you can install. This is now the recommended option for any OS X host that supports VST, as all VST hosts (that I know of) support MIDI out from the plugin.
- MonoNote & DrumSeq : Realtime Recording Improvements : The realtime recording functions have been re-written to be more accurate. In particular, the recording algorithm will tie held notes in the MonoNote, making it much more useful. Polynote support will be coming soon.
- Launchpad : MonoNote : Realtime Recording The "Play" page now works. When navigating to this page (via the 2nd scene button from the top on the Launchpad), the MonoNote will go into realtime recording mode. On the Launchpad's grid, you get a 4-octave keyboard to play on. Any button that is not mapped to a keyboard note acts as an "erase" button.
- Launchpad : DrumSeq : Realtime Recording : The "Play" page now works. When navigating to this page (via the 2nd scene button from the top on the Launchpad), the DrumSeq will go into realtime recording mode. On the Launchpad's grid, the bottom row of buttons acts as "erase" buttons. The other buttons will trigger notes for each track, one track per column. As you play 'higher up' on the grid, the generated note will have more velocity.
- Launchpad : All Note Sequencers, added buttons to control Generate & Evolve. They show up on the 4th row (down) on the SeqCtl page. Red for Generate, and Three Green buttons for Evolve.
- Launchpad : DrumSeq, the bottom row of the SeqCtl page now has buttons to mute individual drum tracks.
- Launchpad : CV/Gate Seq support : support for these modules is nearly complete, stay tuned...
- Online Features : 30-day trial, auto-check for new versions, built-in bug reporting and feature requests.
Fixes and Updates:
(build 41)
- ReWire : I changed the 'device name' when running in ReWire mode to Numerology3RW, to avoid confusion with the plugins...
- MonoNote, PolyNote, ChordSeq : the GateOut CV is now muted whenever a step is muted.
(build 40.7)
- Added a 'five12 feedback' button to the AU & VST -- it is the mail icon next to the five12 logo...
- GrooveClock: The GrooveAmount param is not available for modulation.
- AudioDelay: Fixed a timing calculation error with Milliseconds, added "TenthMillis" measurement.
- Fixed a problem with NI Maschine and its I/O configuration.
- Changed the I/O config menus for AU's to present the 'more fancy' -- and likely the most used -- options first.
- Fixed a problem in Cubase that could generate a loud buzzy output.
- Fixed a problem related to importing stacks with MIDI In modules.
- The Log file for the AU and VST is now called "NumerologyPluginLog.txt"
- You can now edit the contents of the Commentary module.
- Fixed a stereo audio conflict between the AudioSwitch and RingMod modules.
- Fixed a drawing issue related to skip, select and mute steps with sequencers longer than 16 steps.
- Fixed a scale-mapping issue with Minor and Locrian modes in the ChordSeq
(build 40.5)
- Transport confirmed to work in Cubase.
- Fixed a problem whereby the 'demo dialog' would not allow you to authorize either the AU or VST plugins.
- Fixed various issues with window resizing.
- The default height of the editor windows for both the AU and the VST is now just enough to display a full MonoNote module.
- Fixed a crash in the AudioSwitch 4x1 and 8x1 modules.
- Fixed some problems related to the new CV Switch modules.
- Fixed an error message when saving a stack with the DrumSeq in it.
- Stack Preset Snapshots now works with the Launchpad (Hold 'User2', push 'Session')
- Cleaned up some internals when closing the UI, hopefully to avoid some issues.
(build 40.4)
- The transport (and thus the plugin overall) now works in AudioMulch.
- Fixed a crash when using the on/off switch for the stack.
- Fixed a problem with the step name mode and background stripe settings on the MonoNote.
- Fixed a problem with the N3 AU & VST whereby the UI was not updated as frequently as it should be.
- Fixed a problem with a 'stuck editor window' in StudioOne.
- Fixed a problem whereby 'number boxes' would not respond to keyboard input.
- Fixed several logging calls that were causing CPU issues.
- Fixed a problem with poly-chords in the Keyboard module.
