Anybody out there have the Evolver? I've got one and it could be cool if we start to develop some custom stacks to control the beast!

i've been using the faderbox to send CC's to my MED. works great! there is a chart in the Evo manual listing all the CC'd parameters. i have then mapped the faders to a pair of BCR2k's. man, using Num like this has really brought that little Evo to life!

now using the faderboxes with with my virus... this is so much fun!

hmmm... i hadn't thought about using the ccs directly... i've been using the evolver patch editor but been having limited sucess in it comunicating with numerology and the evolver properly... i know this is no fault of the software/hardware its just my own midi stupidity... if you have any numerology evolver stacks... i'd love to check them out

i'll put a few stacks up when i get a chance, maybe tomorrow.

i never liked the editor that came with the Evo. someone made a cool little VST that required pluggo, and it actually worked really well. MEDitor, it think it was called. but of course, not being an AU, it no worky in Num.

i'll send you a PM when i post something. Num makes me want to pick up a MoPho now too. man, i really have to say that using Num has made me dust off my hardware! i have my MKS-80 running for the first time in probably 15 years. now to score a CV box so i can drive some ancient analog goodies...

Hi Amoeba,

I have an Evolver too (poly rack). I haven't yet tried it with Numerology, but I'd be interested in your stacks as well. Thanks for sharing!

ok guys, here's a very basic Evo stack.

http://amoebafunk.com/dload/EvoStack.nmp.zip

notes: make sure to change the midi channels on the modules and the midi buss output to fit your setup. forgive the very basic sequence - it's just for something to be there.

you will see i have a faderbox on both presets here. the sliders are set to: Volume (CC-7), Filter Cutoff (52), Filter Res (53), Filter Env Amt (54), and then the ADSR for the Amp Env (75, 76, 77, 78). open the triangle at the bottom of the module to see the settings...

the slider positions are a bit different on each preset, and i have the glide turned up a bit so the transitions are smooth between the presets.

look at the CC chart in the Evo manual, and adjust to your own tweak favs. i am going to map out everything i can on the Evo into a stack sometime soon, i'll post that when i have. but this should be enough to get you started.

enjoy!

ps: you might need to find a good patch on the evo to start with... something fairly short and snappy should work.

edit: attached just the FaderBox module below, if that suits you better.
