A new user has needed a way to make selections in a specific period like over 2nd, 3rd, or 4th step in a in long 128 step sequencers.
I don't personally use long sequences. But I find exlploring was to solve these issues after 2 years of using Numerology a good way to get an even deeper understanding of how to use the program.
At post 8 of the linked thread you wil find a Selector rig, a variation on my Global editor. The variation is I've added a button box with that you can shift your paramods focus 16 steps at a time over the 8 different ranges 1-16, 17-32, 33-48, 49-64, 65-80, 81-96, 97-112, 113-128
I also set it up so there are 4 stack presets, these make it possible to reach Even number, 3, 5, 7 subdivision if you work in those time signatures.
The trasnport has to be running for this to work.
I had some difficultly with the uneven subdivisions so I made a trick her. When you press the first range button 1-16 s the sequence shifts so things get aligned. This little trick sort of reminds me of the oldfashioned typwriter return Kachunk next line kind of feel. It works. I tested it, if you cant get it to work, just ask and I'll point you in the right direction.
This little setup could easily be used to change other things than just the selection. You could for example make a velocity adjustment on the Velocity editor and have that value sent out through any of you chosen ranges. Just change the Parmods slot twos parameter field.
