Just a note to Pro Tools users. Although Numerology is not officially supported for use in Rewire mode with Pro Tools, it actually does work. I regularly use Numerology as a rewire slave to Pro Tools, and though NUM probably not as elegant a dancer with PT, it does pretty well.
There are a few problems however, that I have encountered when quitting Numerology out of slave mode, it doesn't seem to close right, and shows a dialog, just ignore it.
Pro Tools will not close correctly either, and sometimes I will have to force quit out of Pro Tools after running Numerology in it as a slave.
But, if you save your Numerology session, it will re-open fine. The same for the Pro Tools session. There are some things to note about this though.
1. Quit the Numerology session first as you would any rewire slave.
2. Remove the Numerology instanciation from the Pro Tools session on whichever track you are running it from.
3. Save the Pro Tools session after you have removed the Numerology rewire instance
4. Quit Pro Tools.
If you want to restart the PT/NUM session later to work on it. Just open the PT session, reinstate the instanciation of Numerology in rewire slave mode on your dedicated Numerology track, then restart Numerology, open the Numerology session you were using. Now you have re-established Numerology rewire from the previous session.
I have used this on some fairly complicated rewire setups, and it always comes back as it should, even with multiple software AU Synths, FX, etc. in the Numerology session. And multiple stacks, and sync is just fine.
