I'm not sure if this a bug or what... but the awesome and cheap Audio Damage plugins don't seem to be able to remember presets and or sync with Numerology... particularly Dub Station and Automaton...
Hello,
here is a text from Jim from the soundtoys thread possible it helps:
---------------
Here's what I've found: Neither SoundToys or Automat comes with 'factory' plugins in the AU sense, they just come with presets that are installed in a spot that Numerology's AU preset browser doesn't see at first.
For an Audio Unit, the definition of 'factory' preset is very specific: They are stored 'within' the plugin, and a host can make specific API calls to find them. Not very many plugins actually support this feature. What they tend to do is come with a bunch of presets, and have a custom preset browser within the plugin for you to browse them. Zebra2 is a good example of this. Soundtoys is a bit unique in that it installs presets, but has no built-in preset browser.
The 'standard' AU preset mechanism for non-factory presets is based around reading and writing .aupreset files, which can be stored in either of two locations:
/Library/Audio/Presets/<manuf dir>/<plugin dir>/
or
<your home dir>/Library/Audio/Presets/<manuf dir>/<plugin dir>/
This is a side-effect of the way OS X's overall file system is structured, and though I understand the reasoning, I find its use for AU Presets to be very annoying, as it means that AU presets can always be either in one spot or the other, never always in the same place.
When you install SoundToys, it places its preset library within the first of those two directories. However, Numerology's default location to look for .aupreset files is the second location. I made this choice as I'd much rather have my presets stored within my home dir, rather than a root-level system directory that I'm not likely to remember to backup (TimeMachine or not).
The .aupreset browser Numerology opens is a generic file browser, so you can always retarget it to a new directory, but that is time-consuming. A better option is to just go to the Finder and copy the Soundtoys presets from their original directory to the equivalent one within your home directory. You only have to do that once.
In the case of Automat, there were preset files in the download, but no installer, so I just copied them myself into the "home-dir" based AU presets dir.
I'm working on a design for a better AU preset browser that will be added to Numerology later, and hopefully will avoid all this confusion...
Best,
Jim

Maybe I was unclear... Automaton uses tempo to create synced effects and it has its own built in sequencer but pushing play on Numerology does not seem to trigger its internal sequencer...
I'll add them to my test list...

I checked both Dubstation and Automaton, and they both seem to work fine. Make sure you have the latest version of them (and Numerology), and try the factory presets. If you're still having issues, email me privately.
BTW: I did find some preset-loading issues with Dischord, I'm working with AudioDamage to resolve them...

I'm having issues where when I load preset for Automaton, it doesn't set some of the parameters correctly. For example, the RuleSet parameter just stays on whatever value it was set to instead of updating to the correct value for a preset. So it's set to "Life" when I first open the plugin, and if I load the factory preset Error Prone (09) it should be set to "Sequencer" but it stays on "Life". If I fix it by hand then it works fine, but I don't want to have to do this every time I load a preset, plus I'm not always sure what the parameters are supposed to be set to unless I go load it up in my DAW and double check.
Are you having any issues like that? I redownloaded the latest version and that didn't help so I don't know what else I could try...

Yeah the presets are funky... did you read jims big post about the presets in this thread? I haven't tried his suggestions because i am too lazy... i just have to keep clicking those settings everytime i load... same thing with the sync button in Dub Station... if you try it let me know if you have any success
