Can You inform me, please, if Numerology can be used for the multi-diffusion spacialised system (named Acousmonium - an "orchestera" composed by 24 or 40 loudspeakers).

Acousmonium was invented by the french composer Pierre SCHAEFFER, and is used by the acousmaticians to their "concrete" music.

You understand, that I don't ask bout a simple surround, or QUAD diffusion, but for the real 32 - 40 fully independant pistes. (f.e. Cubase has only 5+1).

If necessary, the best site in the question is Acoumodules (FR and ENG) where you can see the comparaison between different DAWs:

Thank for Your response

Well,

at the moment Numerology has two stereo outputs, so it might not be the best software to use with Acousmoniums ....

hope that helps

best

Each stack can have a direct output, so you can work with as many channels as your audio interface allows, but I can think of a few limitations that would apply for "Acousmonium" use:
- Only a single stereo bus is currently supported for Audio Units.
- There's no support for surround (multi-channel) busses.

Item 1 will be addressed by the "pro" version. Item 2 is just on the "interesting ideas" page.

Cheers,
Jim
