I'm not sure I've met another Aussie on here yet, let alone a Sydney-sider, but just in case... Numerology friendly artist Me (Aeriae) is playing the Excelsior Hotel in Sydney on Sunday Jan.11 at 3pm. Full details in the link:

Videoclips are fast communicators. I'll be playing this track amongst others:

Howdy! Thanks for posting the gig notice here. I'll try to come along. I actually vaguely know Alex from Process Void.

So, do you mainly use Numerology? If not, I'm interested in what else you use. I've only played live twice (back in 2005). Like you I tried to escape from behind the laptops, and so I tried triggering things in Plogue Bidule (running in Windows) from a bass guitar. Not too sure I was really successful, but at least I tried.

Hey blurk!

Re: Numerology, I used it a lot to help create the tracks on my 1st album, where it would drive softsynths in Logic.

In my gig, I won't be using Num. in realtime, but the ghosts of its output will be present :) What I'm principally using is a combo of 1. Ableton Live, into which I reverse engineered some of my studio tracks, and 2. Reaktor, which I use to run the software/hardware interface for FX and mixing, and to drive clips in Live.

Physically this is driven by a Novation REmote SL 25 above all, and secondarily I play a midi keyboard at times. I do have to look at the laptop screen depending on the track, but I only have to touch the laptop between tracks, and some tracks I don't have to look at the screen at all, which is neat.

Anyway if you wanna see, make sure you're there at 3pm. Though you can poke me later if they produce some worksheet which has moved my start time later than I've been telling everyone, or something :)

To wrap this thread - the show went well. I have some footage on youtube if anyone's interested. I think this one is the best of 4 clips:
