Working with Kyma X

Looking at the new Kyma systems, wondering if anyone's using Numerology to control Kyma X? Does it work?

Well, I certainly think that controlling it via MIDI shouldn't be a big problem, though I see they have updated their hardware quite a bit, so I'm not sure exactly how you get MIDI to it... What would be ideal, if the new hardware supports it, is if they create ports in CoreMIDI that directly route MIDI to the DSP hardware via Firewire or USB -- that way you could use Numerology to generate MIDI to the Paca/Pacarana hardware without worrying about data rates. If I happen to see them at NAMM, I'll ask...

thanks Jim, that's why I asked. It's hard to tell if they're using CoreAudio(doesn't seem like it) or CoreMIDI.
Will wait and see, now to get Numerology to control the modular! gotta get my midi to CV hooked up, haven't used midi in years--had no reason to before getting Num.

Kyma X + the Capybara hardware fully support CoreAudio & CoreMidi.

Kyma + the very new Pacarana seem to imply that works over an external midi interface only. I don't have one but the FAQs and integration guides make no mention of the AV/C suppport so I suspect it is shelved for the time being.

I should also mention that there direct support with OSCulator but that is an extra layer obviously.

in some information a few weeks ago symbolicsound were talking about that they exspect that the users should use some audiointerfaces from tc i think it was the studio connect 48 what should be supported. This interface has a MIDI in / out also.
So Numerology could send MIDI to the KYMA without any problem.

But if you think about a Kyma system you should look for a Capybara 320 with its cristall clear audio in and outs, MIDI in and outs.
That one works without any problem with Numerology.
