Very cool indeed. Who would have imagined that MOTU would come up with this? I'd do it immediately if I didn't already have an Encore Expressionist.

Makes me think I may be able sell my Expressionist. I heard they'll be offering a money back guarantee on it, and sounds like it'll work on my RME FF800, so I'm in!

Yup, saw it yesterday, very cool. I'll definitely look into direct support for it...

Cheers,
Jim

despite rumours , volta does NOT fully work with rme equipment. my experience is that all functions work except pitch which drifts wildly!

here is a technical explanation

Bummer. I'll try to contact someone at MOTU to see if I can get more information.

FYI: Even among MOTU's interfaces, the range of voltages that each interface can output varies a bit, but you can always get a range of at least 4.6 octaves. In most cases, you get 7 or more octaves, and a couple go up to over 12 octaves. Something to keep in mind if you are shopping for interfaces. In general, the newer the interface, the wider the range.

Cheers,
Jim
