I've always hated the piano roll as a creative tool - its fine for detailed editing later in the composition process, but I feel suffocated by it when trying out fresh ideas.
Rewiring Numer into Live and using it to drive Kore 2 has worked wonders for my workflow for getting ideas down quickly: all those lovely step sequencers for groove/pattern creation; record the MIDI patterns as Live clips; jam a Live session using some follow actions, key strokes and Kore for automation.
Numerology is the missing link I was searching for. I've even ditched all my buggy Reaktor sequencers in favour of Numer.
Just wanted to share my joy!
Many, many thanks to Jim and the Numer community. :D
