View Full Version : Bigger ParamMod with 8 slots?
Hello,
what about a bigger ParamMod with 8 slots?
Just replacing the old one?
I am using this a lot in the moment and in the minimum I need 6 slots what means three ParamMods to handle and linespace on the screen.
For me the 8 slots will fit more to Numerology overall than the 2 slots.
When I modulate a synth there are always more than two ParamMod needed.

What are your control (CV) sources like?
Thanks,
Jim
Hello,
as you can see in the example of the Numerology Rythem Generator in the Project thread, I am controlling several Seqs fom differend Faderboxes with a lot of ParamMods.
My new Projects have the following structure:
Stack 0 - Faderboxes and ParamMods for controling Pitch, Probability ........
Stack 1 - x all the sequencer stuff as needed
Last Stack - read me
So 8 faders go to one ParamMod with 8 slots would be very handy.

How about a ParamMod built-into the FaderBox, like the LFO module -- one module target, up to 8 params...

heh - i was just about to ask for a faderbox with 16 slots!
Hello,
this is a good idea to put a ParamMod to the Faderbox, but I can not agree to the one Target issue only.
It should be possible to controll differend Module in a stack from one faderbox.
Lets say that you want to control two IntervalSeqs ( start and end step ) with fader 1-4,
the Direction ( Fwd,Bwd,Rand... ) with fader 5,
the probability in a NoteProcessor with fader 6
and the Volume and Pan in the stack output with fader 7 and 8.
So you need 8 Faders for 8 Target Parameters but you have four Target Modules.
The posibility with 8 Target Modules and 8 Target Parameters makes more sense to me, it is mutch more flexible.
You are right if you think of sending the faders to a synth one destination with 8 parameters.
What I like to have is the posibility to concentrate the main controls for the project in stack 0. So there is no more need to jump from stack to stack to make main changes in the stacks.
So you can make changes for all stacks on the fly, to listen how it sounds.
If you want to make sutch changes in several stacks at once the expanded ParamMod makes the most sense to me, because the you can use one FaderBox with several expanded ParamMods to make the same changes in several stacks at once.
Possible the best would be to have them both:
Faderbox with ParamMod one Target Module with 8 Target Parameters
for use of setting up synth parameters ( AU presets came in mind )
and
ParamMod expanded to 8 Target Modules with 8 Target Parameters
for controlling several stacks advance.

I am jump in to the 16 fader FaderBox!!:D

I am jump in to the 16 fader FaderBox!!:D
You'll have to settle for using a pair of the existing ones -- 16 faders is much too wide for the current UI...
Cheers,
Jim
