Advanced Transport

Hello,

still looking for a advanced Transport with foreward, backward,
start from selectable beat number
Loop functions, cycle from beat xx to beat yy
Some exotic things like one step foreward, one step backward
and a backwards start, what means that you set up a beat and Numerology starts running backwards from there.

Main reason for the advanced Transport is that Ableton Lives new version 8 is still not able to send MIDI time code. So we have to send MTC from Numerology, but you always have to start from the beginning.

You can do locate to a bar now: From the Timeline menu, choose Locate, enter a bar number, etc... Transport looping is on the list for 2.1. The other stuff, hmm, interesting, will have to think about those for a bit... ;)

Rather than start a new topic...

I'd like to see 2 types of basic looping.

1. Conventional looping similar to Logic or any other sequencer.

For example 'song' is set to 8 bars:

Track 1 is 8 bars.
Track 2 is 4 bars.

Track 1 would play all 8 bars and Track 2 would play 4 bars then 4 bars of silence. At the 8 bar mark everything would cycle again.

2. All tracks loop on their own regardless of length of the patterns contained in them.

So I could make a 3 bar drum beat with a 1 bar fill in one track, a 2 bar bass line in another, an 8 bar lead line in a third track and 4 bars of pads in a fourth and it would loop over and over until I get bored with listening to it. ;)
