The manual for the MIDI Switch module says "Regardless of the mode, you can always manually adjust the switch, or use a CV trigger source (such as a Gate Sequencer) connected to the Trig In input."
I connect a Gate Sequencer to the MIDI Switch Trig In but I can't seem to get it to work. I tried connecting the Gate's Trig Out (I think that's the right one) and tried Gate Out too. I can't get it to advance the switch. I expect it to move forward when there is a non-zero value in the gate sequence. Am I missing something?

try to set the range in modulation sequencer to custom (value from 1 to 4) set the stepped mode and quantize on, connect the Modulation sequencer CV out to the midi switch CV Prg in and set the input range 1.0 to 4.0.
For me seems work

This is a bug. As amsonx mentioned, use a modulation seq for now. I'll have a fix for the next beta (out today or tomorrow...)

Ok, thanks for the responses.
I'm actually interested in cycling through the switch while messing with the gate sequence, rather than having to sequence 1/2/3/4. I am patient and can wait for a fix.
