View Full Version : Chord Sequencer Update
Coming along very nicely... Just got a decent 'spacing' algorithm to work, and added all 10 possible 7th chords. Arpeggiations & Broken Chords too -- though there are a couple stuck note bugs to fix there first. And I need to tweak those algorithms to make strums work as well. Here's a quick demo with triads a friend and I made tonight. This will be out with the first 2.1 beta, out shortly after 2.0.1....

That is really cool!
Hello,
looking foreward how the Arpeggiate value works?

looking foreward how the Arpeggiate value works?
It redirects the internal timing mechanism used for gate divide to play the notes spread out through the sequence step instead of all at once. When the value is > 0, the notes are played low to high, when it is < 0, the notes are played high to low. The amount of the value determines how much 'spread' there is: at low values, the notes play quickly. At the maximum value, the notes are spread evenly across the entire step. The option to use gate divide remains, but is a separate mode. There is also a "broken chord" mode, where the notes are played as in the arpeggio mode, but all notes are sustained through the step. There will also be a strum mode, which will be tuned for short duration strums.
Cheers,
Jim
