Hello,
could tell all that there is a way to play clips in Live from Numerology.
My goal was to be able to play a lot of clips with in live but keeping the overall control at Numerology.
This means for me that a clip should play only as long as the note sended from Numerology lasts.
The solution was very simple, when you know it.
The behavier how a clip is played by Live belongs to its setting of the lauch mode.
Normaly when MIDI is assigned to a clip it starts in sync with live and plays till the next clip is selected.
Setting the launch mode at the Preferences / Launch to this:
Default Launch Mode - Gate
Default Launch Quantization - None
The clips are played when the MIDInote comes and last as long as the note.
Now you have to but in your clips in your Audiotrack and assign MIDInotes to each clip. Easy to do with the Numerology keyboard.
The setting up your Seqs and go.
A little organisation is good if you plan to have a lot of clips were some clips should play together.
Please keep in mind that you can only use one MIDI channel for the MIDI remote so I selected channel 16 for this and you have to select Remote On in your MIDI bus that you want to use, please see Preferences /MIDI/MIDI Ports - Remote On
At the same place you should switch of the track setting of your bus to avoid confusion with the midi.
My big setting is now 10 Audio Tracks with 12 clips in each.
Lowest octave plays track 1 next octave track 2 and so on.
Overall this are 120 clips with a 10 clip polyphony, think this is enough room for having some clips dublicated if needed.
With this technic you do not have to set up MTC, just keep the tempo the same in Numerology and Live if you want but is also nice to slow down tempo in Live for more artefacts in audio.
A new playground for experimentation with audio under controll of Numerology.
And a last warning for the sample accurate people: This is not for you!!!!
best

PS: If you do not want to change the global launch mode it is also possible to change the launch mode in the clip settings, but you have to to it clip by clip then.
