View Full Version : Numerology 2.1 RC 4
Yes, folks, this means we're back to "release candidate" status again...
FYI: I'd hoped to get audio input working in ReWire mode also, but it
looks that will have to wait a bit.

Numerology 2.1rc4 Release Notes:
- Fixed a crash that could happen when opening projects with MIDI or CV I/O modules.
- The Numerology ReWire driver is now installed by default.

Hi Jim
Just downloaded the new rc release . Just a quick question when I launch a project and the N2 loading window pops up it reads N2 2.1 x is this ok ? Also the little X,s on the side of the drum sequencer for clearing the sequence seem to have gone . None of this is a problem at all but just wanted to make sure Im not doing anything wrong .
Keep up the great work

I just tried to activate Numerology 2.1b4, but failed; after entering my serial number I pressed the 'activate' button, N2 opens, but "About" still mentions "unregistered".
Is this a fluke, a bug maybe, or by design? (i.e. can only public release versions be activated?)

That is a fluke specific to your serial number, new one on the way via email...

It sounds like you may have an older copy floating around. Did you start the app first, or double-click on a project? (Doing the latter will usually open an earlier version if there is one around) Also, check the "About Numerology" dialog for the full version string.
New build out tomorrow....
Jim
To de-install, remove this file:
/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/ReWire/NumerologyReWireDevice.plugin
I seem to have a fix in place for the next build, just got to check a few more things first...

What other files need to be removed for a complete uninstall of N2 as a whole (in order to downgrade between versions for diagnostic reasons)?
hello,
to be shure please put the complete Numerology2 folder located in your application folder into the trash.
best

Thanks Jue. :)
At one point I did put it in the trash and then started the installer for a previous version, but when it showed that the disk cost would be 0 kB I cancelled it for the time being, assuming it still 'saw' the app folder in the trash bin and thus would fail to downgrade. Will try again later if the need may arise.

There is a nasty, unforseen bug in the ReWire driver for rc4a that
causes ProTools
to crash on startup. If you delete the rewire driver, as described
above, it will go
away. I have a fix in place for rc5, out soon....
