MIDI In to record sequence notes?

Hello,

I want to be able to play a sequence of notes from a master keyboard into the step sequencer while it is playing, so I can control the pattern of notes in real time, like my MAM step sequencer, and Korg Electribe let me do. How to I configure the step sequencer to take the notes I play on the master keyboard and assign them to each step as it is playing?

I don't want to have to grab a mouse and start clicking around during a live performance!

Well, I am most fortunate - I took a look at the info on the various beta versions - I'm not one to install a beta over top of my paid-for release version, but since one of the releases included the ability to play the notes into the sequence from a keyboard, I downloaded the RC5 version and installed it.

So far so good.

RC5 will probably be released tomorrow as 2.1.... As you noticed, it has the sequence record function you're looking for. (drop me a note if you have questions about it) And that reminds me that I should add it to my future tutorials list...
