Ableton Midi Remote Script for NUM!

Ok Live users... after reading Peter Kirns article on CDM the other day about making instant mappings for the Korg Nano series I realized that it must be possible to create such a instant mapping config file for use of Numerology with live... allowing it to instantly access knobs in macro racks, drum racks, volume sliders... whatever...

Ok... so i got the ball rolling on this...(it wasn't that difficult) attached is a userconfig file to make numerology into a instant mapping control surface in live as well as a numerology project with 8 cv sequencers mapped to the 8 corresponding macro knobs on whatever device is selected...

instructions on use:

1. copy the Numerology folder in the zip file into your home/library/preferences/ableton/(live version)/user remote scripts folder

2. open Live

3. open numerology and open the included sequence stack

4. open live midi preferences

5. Numerology should now show up as a control surface... select that sucker

6. Select Numerology Out 4, and Numerology In 4 as the inputs and outputs for the surface

7. Now whatever rack you have selected in Live will be automapped to the corresponding sequencers in Numerology

This was pretty easy to get going... I've assigned ccs 20-27 on "numerology out 4" as the instant mappings for the knobs...
This is just a start as it appears that adding volume and send automation for 8 tracks seems pretty easy as well. I hope we can delve deeper into this and somehow achieve instant mapping for macro racks on multiple tracks at the same time, the this works right now is that Numerology will only control the currently selected rack.
