I've been using the envelope module lately, and had some ideas. could the controls for the ADSR be exponential instead of linear? it makes it hard to get the settings right how it is now.

I would also be interested in having a multi-stage envelope, perhaps similar to the one in my waldorf microwave--where you can set the lengths and times of several stages and then set between which stages the envelope loops during the sustain phase of the note.

I guess this could be worked out using a modulation sequencer, if there were a way (maybe i'm not seeing it?) to reset the envelope on gate input--and also to set a separate loop point from the start and end points of the moudulation sequencer.

thanks :)

You can use the "curve" params on the Envelope to move from linear to a more exponential curve, or the other way around.

Your idea of using the Modulation seq, as a multi-stage envelope is very much on track, but you are also right about the start-point vs. loop-point issue. I've got some notes already to examine that issue. I'm not sure yet if I want to create a new module for that, or augment the Modulation Seq.

ah, yeah, I saw the curve option for the envelope parameters. I was thinking more along the lines of exponential time adjustment for each stage, since, especially in the attack and decay stages, there's a lot of fine tuning in the more short ranges for each stage.

thanks :)

Ahh, I see -- simple, open the "advanced settings" panel (click the triangle button in the lower left of the module), and choose "exp" for knob range.

Cheers,
Jim

can't believe I didn't see that! thanks :)
