Hahaha....
I can totally relate. I'm trying to save up for a new computer so I told myself no more soft synths for a while. But then ACE came along...

We need to hack into SETI@home and steal idle CPU cycles. :p

I'm going to buy an analog computer. I've had it with all this dighital shit. :p

I hear you. :)
But I bought this thing and it really does sound fantastic. To me the sound quality is way beyond any other analog modeling softsynth I have ever used. No joke about the CPU usage though, some patches may use 7-10% but I've made patches that have gone into the 60% range easy... as for Bazille... I'm still learning to use Zebra after 2 years of owning it... I'll probably pick it up someday... but ACE is a nice quickfix for some fat analog sounds for me.

Hey, just wanted to report a u-he ACE patch contest to these forums. I'm managing the submissions etc. on KVR. The basic outline is, submit one or two ACE patches and best patches are voted on; winner gets some free u-he schwag.

Here's a proper thread with all details:http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=299003

We've been doing this with Zebra every 5-6 weeks for over a year and it's fun stuff :)
