A third tab in each stack for all of the settings. Right now you have to click in three areas to edit the settings for each module. (the menu, the "e", the drop down arrow)
tab>front of modules>tab>back/routing>tab>module settings
I suppose this would make the modules traingular, but that could be cool!
Really anything in UIs that can cut down on the clicking and dragging. The more I use computers at work and home, the more I am aware of this.

I like the idea of making it easier to get to the settings and advanced settings of the modules. I feel like clicking on that little arrow every time I want to change the midi channel or pattern length, etc, is kind of tedious, even though I like how it reduces clutter. I would just love there to be some sort of workflow improvement there, though I'm not sure the best way.

How would you feel about having better keyboard control (computer keyboard)?

A lot of DAWs allow the user to assign QWERTY keys to Commands and I use this feature a lot (RSI due to 25 years of mousing). I would welcome this

I think it would be easier to understand what Numerology is doing sometimes if we could fold the modules away but still see important details about what they are doing - for instance this crude mock up of a single line MonoNote - where can still see the sequence and which note events are activating. I know this needs a great deal more thinking through...

Hello,
have to jump in here with some compliments:
This is a very good idea to have a very small modul with the main things to see!
Hope Jim will find this also useful.

I think that could be useful. Certainly I want to add 'mini overviews' for things that scroll around a bit, like the timeline.
Cheers,

forgot about this thread! computer keyboard control for things would be excellent. I love having millions of keyboard controls. even nerdier and coole would be a control panel where you can edit/customize all the keyboard shortcuts. Also, the overview mode for collapsed modules would be fantastic :).

Assignable QWERTY Key commands would be fantastic. Many DAWS extend their feature set by including them as Key commands only. That way, obscure and not often called for features can be included without cluttering up the UI.

+1 for more foldable harmonica GUI elements.
+1 for more/user configurable keyboard shortcuts (and other gestures!).
Great ideas. :)

Like a global preference setting window for the user to set up any command on any computer key - even rare/obscure commands that are not available on the usual drop-down menus. But if implementing this, it is very important to ship a default distro of key commands as well as give the option to export and import key commands.
As for myself I like to have every command available both as a a computer key and as a MIDI binding. What I will use depends on the gig; sometimes I play instruments with hands and need to go 100 percent foot control for the laptop stuff. If having a bit free hands though I favor key commands because it may spare me to haul yet another MIDI foot control board to the venue.

Hi all.
Late comer to this thread but wanting to post a feature request in line with this thinking.
Many plug-ins and apps support mouse based knob and fader control. For example, hover your mouse above an FM8 slider and scroll down and the fader pulls down. Ableton requires a click (instead of mouse hover) and +,- keys to do the same thing (easily mapped to a mouse).
I was hopeful Numerology would give me a similar level of control for parameters that I want to adjust but don't have a HW controller mapped to the knob/fader. Any hope of this or is another key command to increment? Grabbing/holding small fader nubs with a mouse is hard. Boo hoo... ;)
I guess I should mention that I also have a Launchpad and am figuring it out, but having a secondary one off control via mouse is still handy if you don't want to change pages.
Thanks for your consideration.
