Wonderful sounding AU drum synth plugin. Excellent minimalist UI, while sexy at the same time. It has 16 pads, and each pad is capable of being loaded with an individual preset, or you can bulk-load all 16 by loading a kit. It currently has 11 modules, each module geared towards a specific type of sound and having different parameters to suitable for this. There is an FM module and another cymbal module in the pipeline. Also, MiniSpillage is the free demo with three pads and modules.
You can use it for typical electronic drum sounds, some pseudo realstic sounds, or crazy bleeps, zips, zoops, zaps, bloops, klanks, lo fi madness, old-school video game sfx like explosions, etc.

hmm, I can't change the thread title, but DrumSpillage is on sale now until July 15th, for 33% off. $99 US for a very nice, modular drum syth is killer, imo. The dev is very fast to respond to emails in my experience.
I run it with Numerology via a stack dedicated to each pad, all routed to either Numerology Out 1 (when piping MIDI into Live, or MIDI Bus A (if I'm hosting DS inside Numerology), and then things get really, really fun to play with :D

Don't forget to mention their freebie MiniSpillage (http://www.audiospillage.com/minispillage.php) too.

indeed, it's what got me to preorder the big one when it was being released and is quite useful on it's own. :) Great for tri-layered kick sounds

Actually NI Kore2 can't, Numerology AU crash the software due to his cocoa GUI, i hope Maschine can (fingers cross)

It shouldn't crash, just bring up an empty editor window. If there is an actual crash (i.e. the host quits), email me the log.
Thanks,
Jim

Sorry jim for the late response.
I did a mistake when i wrote my answer, Numerology AU crash Kore only if i load it in a Plogue Bidule Vsti inside the kore matrix and try to close the Bidule's window when the NumAU windows is open.
If i load the Numerology AU directly inside the matrix, no crash at all, i just can't open the window at all.
Sorry for that mistake.

Regarding to NI MASCHINE, they've just release the v1.6 public beta :p

I've ordered maschine in my local Music teck house here on the 12-27-2010, but it's not arrived yet, so I've used the time to get my other stuff working.
The open beta testing of 1.6 is great news as I'll be able to use the maschine with the new system from the start..I'm envisioning using Numerology and Maschine both in stand alone mode synced to each other through IAC and mixing their audio through the Motu traveller and back into Numerology.
Or I could use Maschine as a AU within Numerology or if it's possible with Numerology as an AU within Maschine, Finally I could use them both as AU's within Logic. Whew....Can't wait.
I could also program patterns in Numerology record them as audio or midi and import into Maschine..
I could also just use Maschine as a midi controller for Numerology..
Or use midi output From Numerology to play the active sound on the Maschine..
Programming beats stand alone in Maschine and exporting them as audio to be loaded into Numerologies sampler is also a possibilty....
It all hinges on the CPU load of the Maschine, Numerology and Logic combinations, and what is most conductive to workflow and creativity
Quite interesting times we live in..

Wade
Two more options:
- Run Maschine in Numerology w/ Numerology ReWired to Live
and soon:
- Run Maschine in Numerology w/ Live ReWired to Numerology...

The last year I've been only using Numerology for music making on the Mac with its many interesting handles on music making I just feel it's got enough functionality to keep me busy for a long time. I bought Logic several months ago and have only launched it twice...
The Maschine idea came after much searching for drum synthesis or sample librarys as that was a weak area in my set-up. I've bought zero drum plugs or samples up now. I use the Wavestation AD with a percussion PCM card and Rom program card..Not bad really.. or the Waldorf Blofeld in multi mode with its really good percusions sounds mapped to 8 channels.
After much checking and also after my experiences with using the Launchpad with Numerology, Maschine with it's 6 GB library and large and getting larger user base caught my eye. So for about twice the price of Geist, you get a maturing product with an interface that is based on a MPC interface framework with the MPC's long development history it's got a lot going for it in a way it's the electronic melting pot of percussion ideas. Still the Maschine has weaknesses in some areas and here Numerology can flesh out the total set-up quite nicely..
After using the Drumseq in Numerology quite a bit the last few days, I'm starting to wonder if I need Maschine afterall, I've also got a pad controller and drumpads, so I'm going to be up to my ears in percussion sounds now... The great thing about electronic music is that I can turn it down...
What I think Numerology has over the Maschine interface is;
Numerolgy has groove control per quarter note in the bar for up to four bars through groove clock or in the groove page on the Launchpad implementation of the Drumseq per step. Per step groove control with different values as it's set-up in Numerology is a joy to work with!
Launchpad usage lets you see four tracks with sixteen steps at a time With Maschine the hardware shows only one track with 16 steps at a time in step input mode..
Just a couple of things that make Numerology a very good supplement to the Maschine..
My Doubts aside I'm still commited to getting the Maschine, and I will report here on how well I get along with it and how I'm finding it Beats Numerolgy and how Numerology Outnumbers Maschine!

The samples in Machine are probably worth it but the automation on the FX are what really make it shine. What it's got over Numerology is the hardware is 100% tied to the software, but saying that they are two totally different products, so it really hard to compare them at all.
I've found DrumSpillage to be another totally amazing tool with Numerology. I'd really love to be some modular gear and a silent way. Money peoples money!!!

This Maschine thing is a quite a beast. It works within Numerology so it's going to be flashin in time with the Launchpad.. I'm pleased with the samples in the beast. Actually one of the reasons I went with Maschine was the great sample library as I'm find all my Physical Modelling plug ins Tassman/String Studio as well as ACE gear are too heavy on the CPU especilelly if combined with Drum Spillage..
Apparently Micro Tonics is CPU friendly but I'm not going to be shopping for anything soundwise until I get my head around Maschine and Numerology...
Whew exciting times in the Music Technology world..
As for silent way and modular stuff it's in my future too but I'll let the dust settle a good long while before I make any moves here...
