Hi Jim,
I think a velocity compressor-limiter would be very usefull.
Cheers!
David
Interesting.... perhaps a "velocity processor" module....

"Velocity processor" module is a brilliant idea! When working in Logic or Live with MIDI instruments we do a lot of velocity processing but it is quite annoying that this is not dynamic, as it would be in Numerology if the Velocity Processor module can be modulated by other modules. DAW applications as Logic, Cubase, Live, Pro Tools... they only offer static velocity processing. You need to apply changes to a fixed part, while the basic idea with Numerology is to NOT produce music in that linear fashion but dynamically - as if "gaming" ;-)) My double vote for Velo Proc Mod, thanks.

FWIW: Signal Processor: 'Clip High' = Basic Limiter
You could probably do a few quick ParamMod's to get a velocity value + (offset?/envelope?) to act upon itself.

Of course another/simpler method is a Velocity "Event Table".
You can map velocity (or any MIDI CC# via parammod) to the current step of a 128-step modulation sequencer (set to manual, don't connect the clock.) This essentially gives you a "replacement value" for any given velocity number and a response curve UI to boot! Draw in compressors, expanders, random/fsu...
Jue figured this out here:
NumerologySeqs as EventTables

Yes a velocity processor, with which we can set a threshold from which the velocity can be reduced.
